Absolutely spectacular. Older, rustic mountain hotel with big porches, fireplaces in the rooms, and still modern amenities. Very romantic. Staff was sweet and attentive. Beautiful location, far enough out of Boulder to get away from the city, but an easy and short drive to downtown. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was super tasty. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Also, definitely haunted.

It’s a really nice inn❤️ The atmosphere is warm and lovely. They offer very nice desserts at night and amazing breakfast😋. I noticed that they are really care about every detail about service. The room is so clean and organized, and I still can’t believe they have massage bathtub in the room. Anyway I have an wonderful night there, and I definitely will book this inn again if I travel there.

It is true that the owners are in the process of trying to sell the inn. However, the entire staff was most accommodating and the inn was extraordinarily comfortable. The breakfasts were great, delicious and plentiful. The staff was amazing as they dealt with dietary needs of guests in our group. Every afternoon and evening there were cookies and dessert. Honestly, it was one of the most pleasant visits I have ever had at a BnB. The location was surprisingly nice- even with the road work and small delays. It took less than 10 min to get to or from the inn from downtown Boulder, and yet you are in complete tranquility away from all the congestion and traffic in Boulder. There was even a local mama bear and cub that we saw (from a safe distance!). Admittedly, the Inn could use some renovation, but that did not cause it to be any less comfortable. It is built from a very old building and so, some quirks are expected. I have seen a similar situation with beautiful inns in New England and New Orleans. In fact, the inn was quite charming and the lobby fire every evening was delightful. Overall, I would heartily recommend the inn and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the staff and owners who went out of their way to accommodate us and make our visit wonderful!

I absolutely loved my stay here! My fiance and I were here for about a week. The staff was wonderfully helpful and kind. They were awesome to chat with and in the morning they made warm homemade scones to begin our breakfast everyday (which is my favorite pastry)! Then, as our main breakfast option, we would pick from a few choices, which changed everyday. As expected, our rooms were cleaned every day and soaps were replenished. They provide L'OCCITANE. Very lovely!

We understand, from the manager, that the hotel’s owner has been trying to sell this property for 3 years and hasn’t been successful. It’s apparently clear that while the property has been on the market, the owner (s) hasn’t participated in the general upkeep that the building requires, particularly in the harsh Colorado climate where the sun and general dry conditions can cause a building to deteriorate quickly if safeguards aren’t in place. Here is what we noticed and what happened: the front stairs to enter the property are destroyed, and this causes problems entering the building easily, especially for older people. The rooms have damage, as well, and there are cracks in the floor of the shower and the light doesn’t function properly. Our hotel room deadbolt lock came off in my wife’s hand and she was only able to exit the room by going out the back patio and going around the entire property and through the front entrance (this is a fire and safety hazard) Parts of the building are blackened, as if there was a previous a fire and anybody can see that the building doesn’t look structurally sound. Apparently, the owner adopted a cat, and, like all cats, the cat has hunter/predator instincts and brought a dead mouse in to the lobby and dropped the mouse on the floor. Apparently, the owner sees this as being okay although the hotel is deemed to be a luxury property and doesn’t seem to consider how visitors may react, or if lodgers have allergies or health concerns (I am allergic). The whirlpool was broken and we would not have booked the reservation if we had known how horrible the place has become in a relatively short period of time. My wife and I stayed at this hotel 6-7 years ago and we returned to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We’re trying to forget these horrible 3 and a half days. The staff acknowledged our anniversary by giving us some bubbling apple cider, which was nice. Yet the conditions of the property- the apparent disregard and concern for us and our well-being were really evident when the manager, who wasn’t wearing shoes, came to fix the door and offered no apologies or gestures of good will/condolences or acknowledgement that being locked in your room is a scary feeling, and we told her we were going to leave early and her response was that we may have trouble receiving a refund. Unbelievable.
