Excellent hotel. The front desk staff, (Malcolm D) was professional and informative, friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean & comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The views are amazing!! Super close to amenities & to outdoor activities, such as mountain trails. There is a complimentary grab 'n go breakfast. To top it off, there is an awesome hot tub and pool:)
This was the absolute worst hotel experience of my life. I chose this hotel due to its proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park. This hotel was marketed as a 4 star hotel on booking.com and is a well known chain hotel; the marketing photos looked nice and the rooms appeared to be clean. What I walked into was what one can only describe as a nightmare. After walking by a wing of what appeared to be individuals living at the hotel, I checked into my room, which was directly located above this wing. It is worth noting that there are only two floors at this hotel and there is access to the rooms from the outside patio on the first floor and no security. I walked into a room that had blood-stained sheets -- I walked back to the lobby where I complained about the sheets and asked to be moved. The person working that night said she could move me to a suite, but it would be on the first floor. At this point, it was late in the night and I obliged, even though I did not feel safe on the first floor, knowing there was no security at this hotel. I walked into my new room and found blood-stained sheets (again) and long black hairs all over the sheets. I called the front desk to complain and was told she could drop off some fresh sheets and I could change the sheets myself. I asked to speak to a manager and she said the manager would be in at 9 AM. I decided to try to sleep through the night, but the men staying in the rooms above me were partying and smoking until 3 AM and constantly slamming their doors. The walls are paper thin at this hotel and you can hear every word and every door that is slammed. After not sleeping at all throughout the night, I walked to the front desk to speak to the manager (there were two managers working that morning). As I complained about my first night, I was asked to prove to the male manager about the blood-stained sheets by walking him to my room with Maria, the manager of the housekeeping team. After showing him and Maria all of the blood-stained sheets and photos that I took and explaining how loud it was all night in what is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel, the male manager rudely told me "you can check out if you're not happy." I responded, "will you be refunding me in full?" He chuckled, "oh no, we cannot do that." I was puzzled by his rude response. We proceeded to walk back to the lobby and walked by several guests in the halls of the hotel who were not wearing masks. The other manager (Karen) had already refunded me in full for my stay. While I was grateful she had taken the initiative to do this, this was certainly not the experience I had ever hoped for. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and especially do not recommend it to solo female travelers.
Lobby was nice and warming. Team was friendly and helpful. Room was modern and upscale. Had a large desk and included a pull out desk with wheels to move around. I liked the room had hardwood floors with an area rug around the bed instead of all carpet. The shower was upscale and fantastic. This is the kind of shower you will find in luxury hotels. There were robes you could wear which were a nice addition. No hair dryer in room, we had to ask for one in the morning. Only other thing I would like is 24hr coffee in lobby and full breakfast, but I know during covid that is not possible, no stars taken away for this though.
I've stayed in 2 star hotels that were nicer... Looks very nice upon arrival but very clearly masking reality of this place. Employee at front desk was extremely rude upon check in, I would have stayed somewhere else if my reservation was refundable. Different employee at front desk in the morning was MUCH nicer tho!!! The room was dirty with sticky stuff on almost every wall, baseboards breaking, heater sounds like slamming door when kicking on and off all night, grout and tile breaking in bathroom... Stay elsewhere if possible!!
No hot tub or pool the room wasnt the cleanest. Housekeepers should not be yelling at each other right outside the guest doors at 7:40 am very rude just not what I expected for a big city motel
