I always get excited when my flooring company is doing a job close to China Gourmet, because it is my favorite place to get lunch. The food is high quality and has a homemade and fresh feel to it. You can get lunch for around $10 which includes your entree, rice, an egg roll, and a cup of soup. Plenty of food for a good price. They take credit cards now as well.
Our first time to eat here. We ate in the big tent. Had heaters and plants around. Cozy....good food.....prompt staff.
Waited for around 5 minutes while cashier’s back was to me in conversation to get acknowledged. While I was waiting, I noticed the cook carelessly snacking in the kitchen with his mask pulled down right next to the food cooking. Got home to find they forgot to include my rice. I now write this review while I cook myself noodles to go with my soon to be cold food. Used to be great, but I won’t be going back anytime soon.
Things change... This used to be our go-to for Chinese in the area. We ate there yesterday and I dunno... The Kung Pow didn't have as much flavor. I ordered the pork and it tasted bad. I'm afraid they are burnt out from the covid lockdown. I hope they will be able to rekindle the wok hay again!
Food is great but if I had the same attitude as the white boy with the dark hair at the counter, I would’ve been fired from my fast casual restaurant job immediately. can you let us know what days he works so I know when to avoid ordering? Happy holidays
