Dennis, the evening manager, is probably one of the most genuinely kind people I’ve ever met. This hotel is beautiful. It has a nice outdoor sitting area to relax in after a long workday. We are staying for 6 nights, and I couldn’t be more pleased with this place. The beds are comfortable. Rooms are nice. I recommend.
There was dirty plastic-ware on the floor and under the beds, dead bug carcases in the corners of the floor and wall (not sure what kind😭) and their "covid restrictions" were ridiculous. Online states the pool is available until 8pm while arriving we were informed we must "reserve a time" to use the pool, in 1 hour increments mind you and while traveling with a 4 year old who only wanted to swim. Whe. We called the desk to meet our reserved time the man said since we were 10 minutes after the reserved time we were pushed to forfeit our "reserved time". While the drinking fountains remain on and the weight room completely unlocked, unattended, and not cleaned in probably weeks. I thought this was absolutely unacceptable and my family WILL NOT be returning to any marriott properties in the future
I booked my room via the corporate number and asked about early check in. They told me I would have to call the actual hotel to see if my room was ready. They were extremely accommodating with the early check in; I was so grateful for the young lady working the front desk (I've forgotten her name :/).. she was awesome. My room was spotless, and the shower was awesome. I was able to park right outside my room so that I could keep an eye on my bike on my car. The pool/hot tub was open.. you get to reserve your own private 30 min window so you're not sharing cooties with anyone else. Checkout was noon. NOON! I had enough time that next morning to ride my bike to get coffee, come back and do laundry, shower, and do a Peloton workout before leaving at noon on the dot. All the staff was friendly. 12/10, would stay again.
Erin at the front desk reception was just aces! Patient with my questions on restaurant suggestions (not unhealthy fast food options) and hiking options. My room was clean and the bed was soooo very comfy. I even extended for an additional night. The breakfast offered is take out baggies: oatmeal, energy bar, banana. Apple juice, OJ (from concentrate) and water are also available. Would stay here again.
This hotel exceeded my expectations! There is some construction going on at the front entrance, but we never heard anything in the morning, or in the evening that disturbed us. Room was immaculately clean and looked like it had been recently upgraded. The location is good, but would recommend renting a car or expect to take a ride share to downtown Pearl Mall (it's a very short distance). Parking is free which helps if you have a rental or your own car. You guys need to get the nice gentleman working the front desk some help though! He was responsible for breakfast and manning check-ins and check-outs. Even still, he was in good spirits which I really appreciated and there wasn't an egregious wait for anything.
