Visits and take out are usually quite good at Dagabi. Last night, however, was less than pleasing. Ordered the dates and got 3! Not 4 or 5 or 6, but 3 dates for $11. I immediately called the restaurant after opening my order and they said that is the normal order considering the cost of the dates and cheese and other ingredients. What?!?! I've shared this dish with others in the past and this was definitely a shareable plate, unlike last night. I also noticed fewer choices on the menu. Disappointing to say the least.
I was here for happy hour to see a friend sing. The outdoor seating was comfortable, and spaced well. I found the happy hour deals to be generous, and the food was good and plentiful.
Food and service were really good. The only issue we had was compensated for which was appreciated. Really loved the mushroom, dates, linguine, and shrimp plates off the happy hour menu.
Had our rehearsal dinner out on the patio a few weeks ago. It was wonderful! Service was quick and friendly, food was wonderful, and drinks were great. We couldn't have asked for a better experience to kick off the wedding weekend. Thank you, Noah and team DaGabi!
Even without a reservation, on a busy night, we managed a table for two in one of the quaint "hot-house" shelters. That made for a quieter and sequester space. Local craft beer on tap was a nice choice. Ordered four small plates: bruschetta, pork skewers, sauteed mushrooms, and seafood croquetas. Everything was delightfully presented, and properly seasoned. And Alexandria was a great server.
