We had the place to ourselves at 7:15pm on Tuesday night. Service was timely and friendly. Spring rolls were fresh and nicely portioned. A medium Pho was plenty to eat. We had the brisket, meatball and the combination Pho. Fairly priced.
Love the atmosphere of this restaurant and have had a positive experience every time I've gone. The staff is kind and the food is great! Great location for CU students and reasonable prices as well.
First time trying the pho Vegetarian tofu pho Tasteless and chicken pho Shows up with no vegi tables just chicken and broth My wife and I have had food poisoning past evening and today. Horrible. I missing work today. The $700 bowl of worst pho ever
The experience overall was ok. I don’t normally go here, but my usual was closed. I decided to try them, got my usual pho order, a small brisket with tendon, and unfortunately it was not all that tasty. The broth was too sweet, and the meat/noodle to broth ratio was way too high. The meat was also chewier than normal. I know my Pho, so this was a little disappointing. The price was also $13 instead of what I usually pay at my usual (Vina Pho) of $9 for the exact same dish. For that difference I would expect a better balance of meat/noodle to broth. I was also charged a “Boulder County Plastic Fee” for the silverware that would be included but they weren’t there. Gladly, I don’t need the silverware, but I felt this was a little redundant. All in all, ok. I suppose it’s the modern vibe and mason jar bobas that keep them alive...
For starters, it cost me $42 for (2) large steak phos and an order of spring rolls. When he gave me that total when I came to pick up the order I was a bit shocked. At this point, my expectations grew higher. When I opened up my bag and started putting together the pho bowl, the bag of steak was literally half of what other pho restaurants around town typically include. I would be amazed if there was 3 oz of meat. I had also asked for extra lime and basil which I didn't receive and after the fact wondered if I had been charged extra for but wouldn't know because there was no itemized receipt given to me. The broth was not very hot at all regardless of the fact that only about 15 minutes had gone by from the time that I called the order in and the time I got home with my food. The spring rolls were loose rolled making them a mess to eat and to top it all off, within 10 minutes of finishing my food, I had to throw up. That was my first experience with Pho Kitchen Bar & Grill. Thanks for nothing.
