Food: 5 stars This is some of the best gourmet Mexican food I've had anywhere. There's outdoor seating too, and inside it's an authentic Mexican atmosphere. Order at the counter and wait for them to bring it to your table. They also had Mexican coffee you could buy by the pound - not bad! This place was originally in Boulder, but they moved here a while ago. The food is exactly the same, and it makes it REALLY difficult to get me to try other places for a fair shake.
We actually ate here twice in 3 days. Great food. Excellent traditional Mexican food with some unique tweaks. Nice to have a great spot for when we are in town. Fully recommend.
I was totally bummed here today. I tried to order a burrito bowl with potatoes as my choice. They told me you can only get potatoes in a taco. I've had a potato bowl twice, didn't feel like arguing so went with a veggie bowl. While I was waiting I looked at the online ordering and potatoes was clearly a choice under burrito bowl. I showed that to them and they insisted that you can only get potatoes in a taco. Kinda bummed because I really like their food but not a good experience
Drove out of our way on the way back to Denver to support this restaurant, which we normally love and have been going to for years, even though the old location was superior. Nobody could answer the phone (or even leave an answering machine message saying you're closed?!) and we got the whole way to the restaurant (which states it is open) to find a locked door with no one inside. DO BETTER!!!
Maybe they were having a bad day given the other reviews but this was, without doubt, the least appetizing Mexican food I’ve had in two decades in Colorado. Ordered via Nosh and will never try again. Chicken enchiladas that tasted like they came out the freezer, crunchy Spanish rice, green chile like something out of a jar, flavorless refried beans.
