Some of the best sushi I've ever had outside of the Pacific or Atlantic coasts. The cuisine is authentic, flavors are well-crafted, and there are a wide variety of unique menu options. The staff are awesome too! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!
As usual, the food was very good. There were some problems with the service, but I'm willing to put that down to being short-staffed for now. We were a large party, but were all on the same ticket. Roughly half the people at the table waited at least 20 minutes after the first dishes were served. This has not been the norm, in my experience, so I'm mentioning it but not dropping a star because of it, unless it becomes a frequent problem.
We always have a nice experience when we go here. The staff members are friendly, and the rolls (usually all we get) are tasty. They don't have the wide range of crazy rolls that some of the fusion sushi places have, but the food seems like good quality, and is quite enjoyable.
Tried to make outdoor reservations, no dice. Three hostesses upon arrival, 30-45 minute wait. Drinks arrived immediately. Great service even with a trainee. Outstanding sake selection. Nigiri was on point. They were out of surf clam and fatty tuna. Uni was a minuscule proportion. Overall great experience.
Great experience. Fantastic little patio right on Spruce. Always solid food/service and more affordable than other sushi options in Boulder.
