We did not read any reviews before we decided to eat a late lunch here so we did not know what we were getting in to. We got a couple salads and a sandwich - all good! They tried to accommodate a couple requests with our orders, but it seemed like they were not used to that very often and threw them off a bit, but eventually we figured something out together. The breads were all so good (each salad came with bread as well as the bread the sandwich came with), but dense so be aware of that. Very affordable for the rest of the area around the Pearl Street Mall. We were able to be seated right away with no wait. The staff were super friendly and attentive. In fact, it felt like they had much more staff than a place of that size really needs, but it did make the service 10/10. The vibe felt like you stepped into a fantasy book or movie tavern with the painted wood decor. If you are looking for an affordable dining location different than the rest of what’s around the mall, check this place out for sure.
Pretty good food but comes at the cost of lost morality. There are multiple Yellow Delis in college towns which are managed by the Twelve Tribes, a religious organization that preys on its own vulnerable members. Hope that sandwich tastes good because that's your soul you're eating 😉
Best spot on pearl street for a 1st date or to get out of the sun. Best staff in town, they make me feel welcome and serve a great vegan burger! U can even get gluten free bread.
I didn't realize it is a cult until I asked for parmesan for my soup and the waitress grunts and gives me a rude, unpleasant response of "Um... we don't do that here", rolls her eyes, and walks away. I decided to Google the place after the comment and it is in fact run by Twelve Tribes. Also, the two "cooks" have to be less than 16. Weird place, weird vibes, rude service, and bland food. Don't waste your time and don't give them your money. The staff doesn't even get paid so you are essentially funding a nearly alt-right, brainwashed, religious group at best and a cult at worst.
I couldn't get enough of that delicious tomato basil soup and salad! Everything was filling and the staff was super sweet and fast. The aroma of the baked goods was amazing and I wish I had enough room for the carrot cake!
